Child Safety Standards
Last updated: 19 October 2026
Rishta Saaz is a matrimonial service for adults aged 18 and over. We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual abuse material (CSAM). This page sets out our standards and how anyone can report a concern.
1. Our standards
- Only adults aged 18 or older may use Rishta Saaz. Profiles for minors, including profiles created by parents or bureaus, are not allowed.
- Any content, message or behaviour that sexualises, grooms, exploits or endangers a child is strictly prohibited. This includes CSAM in any form, sexual conversations with or about minors, and attempts to arrange a marriage or meeting with anyone under 18.
- Accounts involved in CSAE are banned permanently, and their identifiers are kept so they cannot return.
2. How we prevent it
- Age checks: every member must confirm a date of birth of 18 or older at sign-up, and accounts that appear to belong to a minor are removed.
- Verification: phone verification is required for every profile, and selfie and CNIC verification (national ID) is required before a member can send messages.
- Moderation: photos, profiles, statuses and reported chats are reviewed by our trust and safety team, supported by automated checks.
- Ban enforcement: banned members are blocked from signing up again using their CNIC, phone number, device and photo.
3. How to report a concern
- In the app: open the member's profile or chat, tap Report and choose "Underage user or child safety". You can also block the member.
- By email: write to support@rishtasaaz.com with the subject "Child safety report". You do not need an account to report.
- If a child is in immediate danger, contact the police first (15 in Pakistan).
Child safety reports are given the highest priority and are reviewed by our team as fast as possible.
4. What we do with reports
- We remove the content and suspend the account while we investigate.
- Confirmed CSAM or CSAE leads to a permanent ban.
- We preserve the evidence and report confirmed CSAM to the relevant authorities, including Pakistan's National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) and, where applicable, the NCMEC CyberTipline, as the law requires.
- We cooperate with law enforcement requests made through proper legal channels.
5. Compliance with the law
Rishta Saaz complies with applicable child safety laws, including Pakistan's Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA) 2016, and with the child safety requirements of Google Play and the Apple App Store.
6. Child safety point of contact
Our designated contact for child safety matters, including questions from app stores and authorities, is the Rishta Saaz trust and safety team at support@rishtasaaz.com.
